Registrations for the Startup Daily Best in Tech Awards are open

Startup Daily has launched the inaugural 2023 Startup Daily Best in Tech Awards, a flagship celebration of the Australian tech startup and scaleup community to recognize the best and brightest people and ideas in the Australian tech ecosystem, with entries across 10 categories be opened today.

Startup Daily has been Australia’s leading digital publisher of startup news, insights and stories for 11 years, also launching the Startup Daily show on ausbiz in 2020.

Each year, more than 1.2 million people visit the StartupDaily.net site for the latest news about the ANZ technology ecosystem.

The awards recognizes people and startups in areas such as sustainability, technical expertise, innovation, culture and diversity and inclusion.

“The growth of the local startup sector in recent years has been one of the most exciting business stories in Australia,” said Startup Daily editor Simon Thomsen.

“The innovation and transformation to a smarter, digital nation is evident in the numbers. Companies like Canva, Airwallex, Go1 and Culture Amp have reached valuations of over $1 billion in just a few years, as investors pour billions of dollars into these world-changing ideas and nearly 1 million Australians work in the technology.

“That said, the past few years have been turbulent for the startup industry, so the chance to shine a light on the entrepreneurs and companies who are changing the world for the better with the Startup Daily Awards is something we’re excited to do. “

Thomsen said they are very happy with the support from AWS for Startups as the main partner for the awards, with the Dell for Startups program from Dell Technologies and AgriFutures Australia as supporting partners, as well as award sponsors 1835i, Tank Stream Labs and Techstars.

At a time when founders face new challenges in a changing economic landscape, Startup Daily celebrates the achievements of those working on the technology frontline with seven corporate awards and three private awards.

Nominations for the 2023 Startup Daily Best in Tech Awards are now open and close at midnight on Sunday, July 16.

The finalists in each category will be announced on todaybusinessupdates.com.net on August 7. Nominees are invited to the 2023 Startup Daily Best in Tech Awards gala event at The Establishment Ballroom in Sydney on Wednesday, September 6.
