Genshin Impact’s version 3.4 Lantern Rite event, The Exquisite Night Chimes, runs from January 19, 2023, until February 6, 2023, bringing a new wave of attractions and memories under the festive skies of Liyue. During the event, you can take part in a variety of activities to get great rewards, including a new mini-game called Paper Theater.
After completing the first three scenes in The Valiant Hero: Homecoming, The Valiant Hero: Across the Mountains, and The Valiant Hero: Over Peaks, you will be able to unlock the last part of the piece called Adeptus Ex.
How to complete Paper Theater Adeptus Ex scenes in Genshin Impact
Adeptus Ex contains six segments. Refer to the image above for the segment numbering system we use in this guide. This stage also contains wind currents and buttons that can break or repair platforms. Don’t forget it’s possible click on a segment to pause it.
Adeptus Ex: Scene I puzzle solution
Immediately switch the positions of when the scene starts segments one and three.
While the character is still in segment three, switch positions quickly segments two and four.
As soon as the character walks towards segment two, switch positions immediately segments two and three. The character must fall to segment six where he will claim the key.
Switch positions quickly segments one and five also. Once the character drops to segment six and claims the key, this layout gives him direct access to the door, completing the scene.

Adeptus Ex: Scene II puzzle solution
When starting, wait for the character to enter segment two and step on the button, then immediately switch the positions of segments two and six. Then click segment six to pause it.
Switch positions quickly segments two and five before the character steps on the button. Pause the scene. You must perform the next two steps very quickly.
Wait until the character looks to the leftthen immediately switch the positions of segments four and six. Pause the scene to prepare for the next step.
As fast as the character looks to the rightquickly switch positions segments two and four. This allows the character to drop to segment five where he can claim the key.
Once he claims the key, change the positions of segments two and five. Once the character falls to the ground, he can go straight to the door through this path and complete the scene.

Adeptus Ex: Scene III puzzle solution
Wait until the character goes to segment fivethen immediately switch the positions of segments one and five.
While the character is still looking to the right, switch the positions of segments four and five. Wait and watch the character jump to the bottom layer and step on the button.
As fast as the character is in segment six (facing in any direction), swap the positions of segments four and five.
As fast as the character steps on segment five, click to pause. Then switch the positions segments one and five. Then immediately pause again – the next step will require you to act quickly.
While the character is still standing to the left on the platform, quickly switch positions segments four and six. This allows the character with the key and vase to fall into the frame.
Then switch the positions of segments four and six.
Wait for the character to look to the left and walk towards it segment five. Once he’s in there, switch the positions of segments one and five.
Once the character changes direction and is directed to the rightswap the positions of segments one and two. This forms a direct path to the NPC on the right.
