Elon Musk’s Twitter takeover is in full swing: He’s fired several executives and is continuing to make other changes as well.
That includes reconfiguring Twitter’s user authentication process, Reuters reported, making those little blue ticks a little harder to maintain.

Although the billionaire SpaceX founder has not disclosed further details, technology newsletter platform game announced Twitter may require users to subscribe to Twitter Blue if they want to keep their identity-verifying ticks.
Twitter Blue, which launched last June, authenticates users and offers “exclusive access to premium features,” including the ability to edit tweets.
Additionally, The edge reported that Twitter will increase the price of its Blue subscription from $4.99 to $19.99 per month.
